Our meals consist of South Africa’s finest free-range game muscle meat, free-range chicken, free-range organ meat (liver, heart, kidney etc.) lamb, bone meal, venison green tripe, fresh fruit and veggies, free-range egg and krill (our meat includes connective tissue, skin, fat). All our meat is 100% natural, with no processing apart from cutting, grinding and mincing. All raw ingredients are fit for human consumption and only sourced from certified suppliers. Our vegetables and fruit we buy fresh from the fresh produce market.
Doggy Chef meals are registered and certified with the Department of Agriculture under Act 36 of 1947.

Franki / Owner
Franki is a Certified Raw Dog Food Nutrition Specialist through DNM University with over 10 years of experience formulating balanced raw meals and helping dogs thrive. Her focus is on evidence-based, practical feeding solutions that make healthy nutrition simple for pet parents. She provides guidance on transitioning to raw, understanding balanced meals, and choosing the right options for each dog’s needs. Backed by more than a decade of running Doggy Chef, Franki combines formal training with hands-on expertise to support healthier, happier dogs.

Kobus / Product Development
Kobus has been instrumental in the research and development behind Doggy Chef from the very beginning. With a strong interest in canine health and nutrition, he played a key role in exploring the benefits of raw feeding when the company was founded. Today, Kobus continues to act as the research backbone of the team, staying up to date with the latest studies and advancements in pet nutrition to ensure Doggy Chef remains at the forefront of evidence-based raw feeding.

Phillip / Co-ordinator & Buss Ops
Phillip is the calm, steady force behind the scenes at Doggy Chef. As our co-ordinator, he keeps orders, production and logistics running smoothly, making sure everything stays in sync.
He has a genuine love for dogs and brings care, patience and attention to detail to everything he does. Phillip understands that our work is about more than food, it’s about trust, wellbeing and consistency. His steady presence helps ensure every order goes out with the quality and care we’re known for.

Leigh / Customer Care
Leigh is the friendly, energetic go-to human behind Doggy Chef’s customer care. She’s often the first point of contact and the person customers turn to for all enquiries, order updates and general support, making sure every interaction is handled with warmth, clarity and genuine care.
She has a natural way of making people feel heard and supported, whether they’re new to raw feeding or long-time members of the Doggy Chef family. Leigh understands that behind every message is a much-loved dog, and she brings a bright, positive energy to every interaction.
Approachable, organised and always kind, Leigh plays a big role in building the trust and relationships that mean so much to us at Doggy Chef.

Lauren / Finance & Accounts
Lauren looks after the bookkeeping and financial side of Doggy Chef, keeping our numbers tidy, accurate and up to date. A key part of her role is managing customer accounts and debtors, including payments and statements, making sure everything stays clear, organised and on track.
She works alongside the team to support smooth communication around accounts and helps keep the business running sustainably behind the scenes. Lauren’s role allows the rest of the team to focus on what we love most, feeding dogs well.
Our Tech & Systems Support
Behind the scenes, Doggy Chef is supported by the incredible team at OCDC and the Bobbins, the brains behind the buttons who keep our technical and IT systems running smoothly. From connectivity to reliability and all the unseen bits in between, they take care of the tech we simply couldn’t run without.
They quietly keep everything ticking in the background, so we can focus on feeding dogs well and looking after our customers.
Our Production Team
Every Doggy Chef meal is prepared by our dedicated production team, who manage the preparation, portioning and packaging of our food in line with our internal quality and hygiene standards. Their role includes handling raw ingredients with care, maintaining consistency across batches, and ensuring each meal meets the specifications we’ve set for nutritional integrity and safety.
Working behind the scenes, the production team plays a critical role in maintaining the reliability and quality our customers trust. Their attention to detail ensures that every meal leaving our kitchen is something we’re proud to feed our own dogs.
